The Reindeer Development Fund shall, through the use of financial instruments, contribute to the development of reindeer husbandry in accordance to national targets in the sector. The Fund is steered by a Board of 4 members who shall be nominated every two years and who are nominated by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Norwegian Sami Reindeer Herding Federation. The Regulation contains the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Financial support for extensive losses of reindeer in accidents; 3. Financial support for reindeer husbandry facilities; 4. Reimbursement of training expenses; 5. Financial support for field kindergarten; 6. Financial support for removal of old fencing material; 7. Entry into force.
