Abstract

This Regulation establishes requirements for the keeping of birds of the species Gallus gallus kept for meat production, a room or building intended for the keeping of broilers, training for the proper keeping of broilers, maximum stocking densities and exceedances and keeping records of broilers. The stocking density within the meaning of this Regulation shall be the live weight per square meter of the usable area of broilers kept in one poultry at a time. The Regulation consists of eleven sections: Scope of application (1); Obligation of person directly engaged in keeping broilers to be trained and obligation of supervisor of animal keeper (2); Training of persons directly engaged in the keeping of broilers (3); Inspection of health and welfare of broilers (4); Room or building for keeping broilers and means and equipment (5); Microclimate of broiler house or building (6); Safety of room or building for keeping broilers and tools and equipment (7); Watering and feeding of broilers and means and equipment used for that purpose (8); Keeping of broilers with a stocking density of 33 kilograms or more per square meter (9); Keeping of records (10); and Implementation of regulation (11).
