Abstract To protect natural ecosystems or their parts which are especially important for the preservation of a variety of both, flora and fauna, as well as for the preservation of rare or endangered species and their genofund, state nature reservations listed in the Annex to this regulation shall be established. The Annex also specifies territories of reservations and their protected ranges. Territories of reservations and their protected ranges shall be marked out by institutions of geodesy, cartography and cadastre in land registers. Maps where territories of reservations and their protected ranges are marked out shall be deposited at the Ministry for the Environment of the Slovak Republic, at the Slovak Institute for Nature Preservation, at state nature preservation centres, at national parks' administrations, at both District and Sub-district Environmental Offices where reservations are located, as well as at the regional institutions of geodesy, cartography and cadastre.
