Abstract

This Regulation, issued by the Ministry of Environment, lays down rules on shellfish waters. Shellfish waters refer to water areas that require protection or improvement to enable shellfish (mollusks of the bivalve or gastropod class) to live and grow, with the aim of ensuring that shellfish harvested from these areas can be immediately used for consumption. Annex 1 specifies shellfish waters in accordance with Article 18(3) of the Water Planning Act. Quality requirements for shellfish waters are contained in Annexes 2 and 3.
