Abstract

This Regulation establishes the formal and substantive requirements for the applications submitted for inclusion of active substances in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market (OJ L 230, 19.08.1991, pp 1–172) and the applications for placing plant protection products on the market. Applications submitted for inclusion of active substances in Annex I to Council Directive 91/414/EEC shall conform to the substantive and formal requirements provided in Annexes 2 and 3 to Council Directive 91/414/EEC. Applications submitted for placing plant protection products on the market shall conform to the substantive and formal requirements provided in Annexes 2 and 3 to Council Directive 91/414/EEC. The information submitted concerning the active substance of a plant protection product in the applications shall contain data based on which the possible danger directly or indirectly caused by the active substance to human life or the environment can be assessed, and a full and detailed description of conducted research together with research results and research methods or appropriate references.
