The Regulation consists of eight chapters: General provisions (1); General requirements for buildings and premises and for tools and equipment (2); Requirements for the microclimate of experimental animal housing (3); Requirements for the keeping of experimental animals (4); Specific requirements for record keeping of experimental animals (5); Specific tasks of the Animal Welfare Unit (6); Space requirements for experimental animals (7); and Final provisions (8).
