Abstract

This Regulation prescribes requirements for the premises where a radiation source is located, the marking of the premises and the radiation source; the bases for the definition of the control and monitoring area and the obligations of the holder of the radiation practice license in force therein; the activity levels of radionuclides at which the radiation source is classified as a high-activity radiation source at a value equal to or greater than that; and the categories of radioactive radiation sources and the requirements for the physical protection of the radiation source depending on the category of the radiation source. The Regulation consists of four chapters: General provisions (1); Requirements for the premises where the radiation source is located and the control and monitoring area (2); Marking of rooms and radiation source (3); and Requirements for the physical protection of a radiation source and categories of radioactive radiation sources (4).
