This Regulation enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
Abstract

The aim of this Regulation is to protect the marine environment and coasts against pollution. It is composed of 11 articles. Articles 1 and 2 deal with terms and definitions. Article 3 classifies oils on the basis of their pollution levels. Articles 4-6 define competencies and duties of the Minister and Ministry of Environment. Article 7 addresses employees and officers in charge to control and inspect installations or transportation means. Article 8 defines obligations of marine transportation means. Article 10 contains offences and penalties.
