Abstract This Regulation establishes the maximum quantities of seed of agricultural plant and vegetable species and seed potato necessary for performance of production trials. The maximum quantities of seed of agricultural plant species and seed potato permitted for performance of production trials shall be the following for plant varieties by species: (a) common oats (Avena sativa L.) 14 400 kg; (b) common wheat (spring wheat) (Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori et Paol.) 41 850 kg; (c) common wheat (winterwheat) (Triticum aestivum L. emend. Fiori et Paol.) 24 100 kg; (d) common barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) 83 280 kg; (e) common rye (Secale cereale L.) 2 840 kg; (e) potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) 25 750 kg; (f) rape (Brassica napus L. (partim)) 730 kg. The seed of the varieties of species of agricultural plants not specified in subsection (1) may be used in a quantity sufficient to perform a production trial on 10 hectares of land. The maximum quantities of seed of vegetable species permitted for performance of production trials for plant varieties by species shall be a quantity which, in the case of seed of cabbage (Brassica oleracea spp.), beet (Beta vulgaris L.) and carrot (Daucus carota L.) is sufficient for performance of a production trial on 2 hectares of land. The seed of the varieties of vegetable species not specified above may be used in a quantity sufficient to perform a production trial on 0.5 hectares of land.
