Abstract

The present Regulation lays down rules on random sampling control of frozen or processed mussels for E.coli and biotoxins, and an import ban on live or chilled mussels originating from or sent from Turkey when Norway is the first receiving state within the EEA area. It implements Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/478 of 24 March 2022 on maintaining protective measures on imports of bivalve molluscs from Turkey intended for human consumption, which prohibits the import of live or chilled mussels originating from or sent from Turkey into the Union.
