Abstract This Regulation proclaims Shkodra Lake and Buna River a co-management fishery zone based on their status as specially-protected natural zones and aquatics birds’ habitat as included in the Ramsar Convention and allows for the exercise of traditional fishery activities in the area. The area co-management plan will be approved by the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Water Administration within 12 months of this Regulation’s entry into force. The plan will be in compliance with the management plan of Drin-Buna basin and the permitted activities and investments will be in compliance with the legal framework of protected areas.
