Abstract

This Regulation establishes the method for calculating the volume of greenhouse gas emissions during the life cycle of fuels and energy; the method of calculation of the basic standard for fossil fuels; the procedure for calculating the reduction of the volume of greenhouse gas emissions; and the composition of the data in the greenhouse gas volume report. The requirements established by this Regulation apply to fuels used in road vehicles and non-road mobile machinery, agricultural and forestry tractors, recreational craft and inland waterway vessels, if they are not at sea, and to electricity used in road vehicles. The Regulation consists of five sections: Scope of regulation (1); Terms (2); Method for calculation and procedure for calculation of life cycle greenhouse gas emissions from fuels and energy (3); Calculation of basic fossil fuel standard (4); and Reporting of greenhouse gas volume and format of report (5).
