Abstract

This Regulation provides for the conditions and levels of exclusion of radioactive substances used or generated in proposed radiation activities and the procedure for application for exclusion; the conditions and levels of release of radioactive substances, including radioactive waste and discharges, radioactively contaminated objects and structures, which have arisen as a result of radiation practice on the basis of a radiation practice license and the procedure for application for release; the conditions for release for the recycling and recovery of construction works, metal waste and radioactively contaminated metal objects; the conditions and procedure for exemption from the application of the requirements of the Radiation Act. This Regulation does not apply to radioactive substances which have been released into the environment as a result of an accidental exposure situation; radioactive substances which have been released into the environment after the closure of a radioactive waste disposal site; land which has been radioactively contaminated as a result of accidental exposure or past activities; and the closure of a radioactive waste disposal site. The Regulation consists of five chapters: General provisions (1); General grounds for the exclusion and release of radioactive substances (2); Release of radioactive effluents (3); Procedure for requesting exclusion and requesting exemption (4); and Implementing provisions (5).
