Marking applied on packaging of hazardous waste shall be in Estonian, wearproof and resistant to external influences and conditions, and shall supply appropriate information on the quantity, composition and hazardous properties of the waste, on precautionary measures to be applied in managing the waste, and on the measures to be taken in the event of accidents. The following information shall be supplied on packaging of hazardous waste: (a) waste code and waste type; (b) specified name of waste; (c) weight of waste; (d) name and address of generator of waste; (e) name and address of holder of waste (if different from generator); (f) hazardous properties of waste and the relevant codes (H-codes); (g) hazard signs and markings visualising the hazards arising from the waste; and (h) marking that characterises packaging.
