Abstract It is illegal for Norwegian vessels to fish in Greenland's economic zone in ICES areas Va, XII and XIV and NAFO sub-area in 2014. Nevertheless fishing is authorized to a limited total allowable catch as follows: 1 475 tons of Greenland halibut in West Greenland; 850 tons of Greenland halibut in East Greenland; 75 tons of halibut in West Greenland; 235 tons of halibut in East Greenland; 600 tons of demersal redfish in East Greenland; 1 550 tons of pelagic redfish in East Greenland; 1 200 tons of cod in East and West Greenland; 60 tons of roundnose in East and West Greenland; 150 tons of bycatch of other species. Specific fishing area coordinates where fishing is permitted are listed under article 3. Cod fishing is prohibited in these areas between 1 April and 31 May. The Regulation's fishing quota is based on the agreement between Norway and Greenland/Denmark of 9 June 1992 on mutual fisheries relations, and the delegations which agreed on reciprocal fishing quotas for 2014 (Appendix 1.
