Abstract

The scope of the Regulation is to ensure the implementation of effective preventive measures to limit the damages to agricultural production by wildlife predators.Agriculture, animal welfare and environmental measures will collectively contribute to the achievement of these objectives. Subsidies may be granted to commercial farmers dealing with livestock - as well as to national entities and research institutions - for the protection of measures that physically separate predators and grazers. The Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management determines the national rate for measures related to sheep grazing.
