Abstract This Regulation, consisting of ten Parts and one Annex, establishes the Control of Pesticides within Lao PDR. It defines the principles, rules, and measures for controlling activities that involve pesticides within Lao PDR in order to protect human, animal and plant health, and the environment, and to be harmonized with international obligations and regulations in which Lao PDR is a contracting party. The Regulation is a tool for monitoring and controlling the production, processing, import/export, distribution, transportation, storage, use, and proper disposal of pesticides to ensure the safety of people, animals, plants, and the environment.
