It prohibits haddock fshing beyond the established quotas. The total allowable catch for haddock is 7 603 tonnes, of which 20 tonnes are for research and education. Rules are laid down regulation vessel allocation, by-catch, use of fishing quotas throughout the year, transshipment prohibition, etc. The Directorate of Fisheries can order a halt of fishing when the quotas have been used.
