Abstract

This Regulation (consisting of 20 articles) establishes non-agricultural use of agricultural areas. Allocation of any land other than settlement areas for non-agricultural use is subject to consent of the General Directorate of Rural Services. Class I and Class II agricultural lands can not be used for any other purposes. Also lands that are classified as Class III and Class IV due to insufficient drainage and salinity, but that could be converted in to Class I and Class II by improving can not be used for non-agricultural purposes. Allocation for non-agricultural use must be made preferably from Class VIII lands. If this will not be possible allocation can be made from Class VII to Class III respectively. Allocation procedure is given in the Regulation.
