Abstract

Based on the Reindeer Husbandry Agreement (Reindriftsavtalen), the present Regulation lays down rules on a scheme aimed at contributing to financing the hiring of substitutes in reindeer husbandry during pregnancy, childbirth, adoption of children under 15 years of age, and in the event of the death of the siidaandelsleder (reindeer husbandry leader). This scheme aims to strengthen the position of women and family-based reindeer husbandry. Subsidies for replacement can only be granted to cover actual expenses for wages, vacation pay, and employer's contributions. The Regulation contains detailed rules on requirements for the subsidy as well as procedural aspects.
