Abstract This Regulation, consisting of four Chapters, regulates the organization and operation of wholesale markets for fishing products. The wholesale market manager may be the Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture Services or the Fisheries Organization or the Local Self-Government Unit. State bodies, such as the Fisheries Inspectorate, the National Food Authority, local government units, and other bodies related to the normal functioning of a wholesale market may perform their activities. Wholesale markets are structures of public interest, the purpose of which is to promote marketing in order to ensure the overall speed and efficiency of redistribution of fishery products, the development of entrepreneurial professionalism, the protection of the poor production and trade, linking consumption to production, guaranteeing the trade chain, to reduce overall costs. For the management of the wholesale market, the Advisory Committee of the wholesale market with a three-year mandate is established (Chap. 2); The market director is appointed by the market manager, upon the proposal of the Advisory Committee (Chap. 3); The loading/unloading service is provided by the wholesale market, against the payment of the fee (Chap. 4).
