Abstract

The present Regulation lays down rules on the duty to make use of pilots and the use of pilotage certificates. It contains 28 articles divided into the following chapters: 1) General provisions; 2) Duty to make use of pilots; 3) Pilotage certificates; 4) Final provisions. The Regulation applies to Norway's territorial sea and inland waters. It does not apply to military vessels and other vessels under military command. Article 3 specifies the types of vessels that ar subject to the duty to make use of pilots when they navigate in Norwegian waters within the baseline.
