Abstract This Regulation sets rules on the protection of a coastal woodland area of approx. 4 113 acres, which consists of great variety of rare and vulnerable lime pine forest, coastal pine forest and deciduous forest with significant elements of ivy, holly and yew. The Ånuglo, Midtøya, Seløya and Flornes natural reserves also consist of a patch of important geology and are useful for teaching and research purposes. It is an objective to retain protective values in as much as possible untouched condition, and possibly develop dei further.
