Abstract The purpose of this Regulation is to implement a quota system in milk production for trade purposes. Allowance can be calculated on the basis of disposable milk quota for milk production on one or more agricultural properties and in different production regions. Commercial's disposable quota in a single quota year constitutes the basic quota multiplied by the ratio of disposable quota of 1.07 for cow's milk quota (starting 1 March), and 1.00 for goat milk quota (starting 1 January). For year 2012-2013, quota shall not exceed 412 000 liters of cow milk or 200 000 liters of goat milk. To commercial entities with a higher historical delivery of cow's milk, shall be given an additional and maximum production quota of 3%. For those producing both cow and goat milk shall be allowed goat's milk quota conversion to cow's milk quota in the ratio 1:2. Deadlines for registration of changes in the quota ratio are listed in article 9.
