Abstract

The purpose of the present Regulation is to implement specific measures for a limited period to prevent the spread and control of serious contagious animal diseases. The provisions in this regulation supplement the general provisions in the Animal Health Regulation and regulations that complement it. It applies to the various animal diseases that are further regulated in each chapter and include African swine fever, classical swine fever, lumpy skin disease, highly pathogenic avian influenza, small hive beetle, and foot-and-mouth disease. It implements several EU legislation pertaining to these diseases.
