Abstract This Regulation applies to radiation from radioactive substances which are or may be harmless for the environment. This harmful waste must be handled and recycled with care in accordance with Regulation No. 930 of 1 June 2004 (Chapter 16). A list of limits for radioactive waste is listed in Appendix 1. The Norwegian Radiation Protection Authority shall authorize any activity causing radioactive contamination, and shall determine the terms for the prevention of radioactive pollution, in accordance to the Pollution Act's articles 11 and 16.
