Abstract

It is not permitted to fish for deepsea species (listed in article 1) in ICES statistical areas X, XII and XIV outside the jurisdiction of any State (international territory). However, 17 Norwegian fishing vessels may only fish for deepsea species (from 1-31 of article 1 list) and for a total of 508 days. Fishing for roundnose grenadier is also limited by a total allowable catch of 1 350 tons. It is not permitted to fish with trawls between 15 February and 15 April in the areas specified under article 3. It is not permitted to fish with nets deeper than 200 meters in the ICES statistic areas X, XII and XIV outside international waters. Bycatch of sharks must be released alive.
