Abstract

The present Regulation, adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, lays down specific provisions on compensation schemes that complement or add to the compensation under Article 3 of Law No. 63 of 2019 prohibiting the keeping of fur animals, as well as on advance payment of such compensation. It also further compensates for the negative consequences of the prohibition to keep fur animals and encourages the demolition and clean-up of fur animal farming facilities. The compensation extends also to cases of reduced annual retirement pensions as a result of the prohibition to keep fur animals. Procedural aspects of the scheme are described in detail.
