Abstract It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land shrimps in 2012 for the following areas: in the North Sea (the territorial waters and economic zone south of 62° N delimited on the East by a straight line between Hanstholmen and Lindesnes lighthouses), and in the Skagerrak (delimited on the West by a straight line through Hanstholmen and Lindesnes lighthouses and South by a straight line through Skagen to Tistlarna lighthouses - four nautical miles off the Danish and Swedish coasts). The Regulation sets specific total allowable catch and seasonal catch quota. In the eventuality that no landing occurs from a trip, vessels are subject to inspection by the Directorate of Fisheries before the following one.
