Abstract

The Regulation amends quota and quota factor in the fishing for cod, haddock, coalfish north of 62° N in 2011. Authorized trawl vessels may fish and land up to 105 998 tons of cod, 57 569 of haddock and 44 400 tons of saithe (pollock). Authorized vessels with saithe-trawl equipment shall be permitted to fish and land up to 10 100 tons of saithe. They may also fish and land up to 750 tons of saith and 750 of cod and haddock as bycatch. For group quotas for cod fishing for vessels measuring under 21 meters, permission is of 6 000 tons of bycatch. Vessels measuring 21 meters or more are allowed to the relative vessel quota proportions. Differentiation for allocated bycatch quantity of fishing and landing of cod applies to vessels under 11 meters (44 640 tons), vessels measuring between 11 and 14,99 meters (43 012 tons), vessels from 15 to 20,99 meters of size (44 076 tons), and vessels mesuring minimum 21 meters and with under 500 cubic meters cargo volume (30 829 tons).
