Abstract This Regulation’s purpose is to prevent pollution and health problems as a result of open burning and incineration of waste and within Gjemnes Municipality. These activities are forbidden, however they may take place when from grill and outdoor fireplace; from burning of waste wood in wood-burning stove for heat purposes (with the exception of impregnated and painted wood); from newsprint and similar used to lighting wood stove however it is not permitted to dispose of waste in this manner); from fire exercises organized by Gjemnes fire department (including full-scale exercises with the burning of buildings); from burning by a responsible person approved by the fire department (responsible for avoiding fire hazard shallow sparkle and nearby combustible materials) – Article 5.
