Abstract

This Regulation provides for the exchange of information and consultation with the European Commission on issues related to the release of genetically modified organisms into the environment and the marketing of a product containing or consisting of genetically modified organisms. It consists of seven sections: General provisions (1); Submission of information concerning the release of GMOs into the environment or the granting of a marketing authorization for a product to the European Commission (2); Submission of information to the European Commission concerning applications for release of GMOs into the environment or renewal of marketing authorizations for products (3); Information submitted by Ministry of the Environment to European Commission after commencement of release of GMO into environment or marketing of product (4); Notification of offense to European Commission (5); Periodic reporting (6); and Consultation with European Commission (7).
