Traditional NTFPs shall include also small arborous and fibrous plants and animals. Specific rules shall apply to the production/exploitation and utilization of Traditional NTFPs. The Regulation also provides for a categorisation and quantative assessment system for NTFPs and imposes certain requirements on the exportation of non-timber products. Forest use permit holders must provide compensation or return to local communities and resident communities may sustainably harvest NTFPs from their land in accordance with this Regulation.
