Abstract

This Regulation establishes the modalities for the prevention of oil pollution from ships and effluent waste water discharge from ships in the process of navigation in the inland waterways. It shall be applicable to ships registered in the State Register of Fluvial navigation. All ships must be equipped with collector cistern for the collection of oily bilge water, standard discharge system for delivery thereof, and the pumping system for delivery of oily bilge water. All shipowners must install the aforesaid equipment on board a ship before putting it in operation.
