Abstract This Regulation establishes that total mercury concentration in marine water shall not exceed 0.10 micrograms per liter in marine water and 2.0 micrograms per liter of water in public supply sources. Parties responsible for introducing effluent which takes over the aquatic receptor body, although only in restricted areas which are polluted beyond the level established in part a, shall be subject to the penalties provided by the applicable criminal legislation.
