Abstract

This Regulation sets forth the procedures and principles for setting up and operating animal health establishments. Animal health establishments may be set up and operated by veterinary technicians, veterinary operators and health operators only. Those who wish to set up and operate an animal health establishment must apply to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture to obtain the permit required. Establishments must meet the minimum requirements defined in the Regulation. Also the list of tools that shall be available at all times is given. All services provided must be recorded in accordance with the procedure defined. Establishments are subject to regular inspection by at least two veterinaries twice a year. Setting up more than one animal establishment by the same person is not allowed. Moreover, those who set up and operate an animal health establishment are not allowed to work in private veterinary centers.
