The Regulation provides different categories for the hazardous and toxic substances and provides for transport of dangerous goods from one point to another point in the country. The text lays out requirements for the transport agents, drivers, driver's assistants and sender of the goods, labelling and marking the goods . The text provides for administration offences in case of non compliance while a licence is required for transport of the hazardous goods. The text provides for permitted hours for driving of vehicles, allowed parking slots for the transporting vehicles, fuelling, loading and unloading, maximum capacity for loading and liquid carriage. The text consists of 46 Articles and provides for enforcement of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal.
