Abstract

This Regulation provides for the establishment of a Financial Instrument for the Environment, to be known as "LIFE", which shall contribute to the implementation, updating and development of Community environment policy and of environmental legislation. LIFE shall consist of the following three thematic components: (1) LIFE-nature; (2) LIFE-environment; and (3) LIFE-third countries.
