Abstract This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Serbian Food safety Law, determines the Programme for monitoring the safety of animal feed for the year 2021. This Progamme is aimed for all animal feed produced on the territory of the Republic of Serbia (nutrients of plant and animal origin and complete and supplementary mixtures in facilities for production; storage and distribution; sale and distribution facilities). The monitoring Programme includes: 1) necessary funds for financing; 2) measures to be taken in case of presence of microbiological, chemical and biological contaminants; 3) structure of bodies and organizations for necessary enforcement; 4) other parameters of importance for related implementation of designated measures (such as types of testing based on risk assessment, total number of samples, reporting and laboratory methods). The provisions of this Regulation do not apply to feed kept for own farming rights in a household intended for animals used for production of food for personal needs in that same household.
