This Regulation enters into force on 4 December 1999.
Abstract

This Regulation lies down provisions regarding the sanitary control of plant consignments in trade (export, import and transit) across the state border. It prescribes requirements for the information system and plant phytocertification. The text contains a list of definitions related to the terms therein employed, such as plant, seed, planting material, dried plants, plant products, phytocertificate, etc. According to the text, the sanitary control of plants in trade comprise the control of phytocerticate, transport vehicle, container and plant itself. The supervision of this Regulation is entrusted to the federal inspectors of agriculture.
