This Regulation entered into force on 5 October 2012.
Abstract

This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of two articles and three Annexes, lays down criteria for selection of areas eligible for designation as the areas of special protection of birds Natura 2000 (originally specified in art. 6 of the amended Regulation). In particular, the area should ensure the persistence of populations of species and cover living space of stable, reproducing local populations of the species for which protected area has to be appointed, or places essential to protect these species. Annex 1 specifis types of natural habitats and species of Community interest, including priority natural habitats and species and those requiring special protection. Annex 2 contains the list of animal species and Annex 3 the list of plant species of the Community interest.
