Abstract

Some substantial amendments are added to the previous regulation on licensing pesticides and similar substances, starting with the title, changed to "Regulation on Licensing Plant Protection Products", and "pesticides and similar substances" have been modified as "plant protection products". Companies involved in agricultural pest combating should have regional offices in at least three different regions, and should certify this presence with a document issued by the Ministry of Finance. If products are distributed by sales distributors in three different regions, then these distributors should be in the same conditions as the main supplier. Regional offices of main suppliers should also employ at least one agricultural engineer on plant protection. The validity of the Certificate of Permission for Agricultural Pest Combating has been changed to two years. Some procedural provisions have also been amended and given in details.
