Abstract This Regulation determines: the categories and classification of fodder crop seeds traded on the European Union market; the control of fodder crop seeds by official bodies, related certification and/or approval of commercial seeds. These rules are designed for the preservation of the natural environment. This text also defines the activities under control of official bodies and requirements for the conduction of such controls and inspections; the conditions under which seeds are offered on the market; the certification of seeds through the field inspection and laboratory analyzes for sowing qualities; packaging and labelling; types of mixtures; rules for small packages; conditions for "follow-up control"; and other as listed in article 1.
