Abstract

This Regulation concerns planning, monitoring and evaluation of supervision by the National Forest Agency pursuant to the Forestry Law (1979: 429), the Law (2014: 1005) on timber measurement and the Law (2014: 1009) on trade in timber and timber products. As far as the Agency's supervision duties pursuant to the Environmental Code are concerned, provisions of the Environmental Supervision Regulation (2011: 13) shall apply. The Agency shall make every three years an assessment of the supervisory needs for the Agency's area of responsibility. It shall also, for each financial year, establish a comprehensive supervisory plan that covers the Agency's area of responsibility. The Agency shall describe in the overall supervisory plan how the authority has balanced the distribution of resources within and between different areas of responsibility and how the resources have been adapted according to the existing supervisory needs.
