Abstract

This Regulation, made under Chapters 14 and 15 of the Environmental Code, introduces prohibitions on the refilling of refrigerant equipment with fluorinated gases by non-authorized persons (i.e. the person conducting activities for the purification or destruction of gases, the manufacturer of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment containing of gases, and other persons authorized under this Regulation). Anyone who manufactures a new hermetically sealed equipment shall ensure that the equipment is equipped with accurate and easy-to-understand operating and maintenance instructions in Swedish with the instructions needed to prevent the release of refrigerant. The Regulation contains rules regarding installation of equipment, leakage control, the taking back of refrigerating equipment by importers and suppliers, notifications to the supervisory authority on large installations and their ecological design, and certification of installers.
