Aid shall be in accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 declaring certain categories of aid compatible with the internal market in application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty Text with EEA relevance. Support will not be provided for the production of plants where manure is mixed with sewage sludge and shall not be given for the proportion of raw gas that can be assumed to originate from substrates other than manure. Aid may only be granted to facilities, which, if such approval is required, are approved in accordance with the rules for animal by-products. Also, support may only be provided to facilities that have connected equipment for flaring or burning gas which, in the case of overproduction or malfunction, cannot be utilized.
