AN ACT to further amend the Registered Land Act, Chapter 194 of the Substantive Laws of Belize, Revised Edition 2011, to establish the Land Registry as a Department of Government in the interest of administrative and operational efficiency; and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Abstract

This Act amends the Registered Land Act in section 5 by deleting the words “Land Registry” and substituting the words “Department of Government to be called the Land Registry,”. The principal Act is also amended in section 6 by repealing subsection (1) and in section 19(2) by deleting the full stop and inserting immediately after the word “person” the words “, but no such correction shall be effected except with the written consent of the Registrar.”
