It also defines certain rights relating to land and the effect of registration. The Act establishes a land register, which shall comprise a register in respect of every parcel which has been adjudicated in accordance with the Land Adjudication Act, 1978 and a register of leases required to be registered by this Act. Various provisions concern leases of registered land and charges on land. Other provisions concern, among other things, easements, co-proprietorship and partition, representation and acquisition of land by prescription.
