Abstract This Regulation provides for the protection of the quality of ambient air and air quality in a closed space by controlling air pollutant sources useful for preserving the environment and by controlling the wise exploitation of resources. The protection of ambient air quality is based on the quality standard of ambient air, status of ambient air quality, emission quality standard, tolerable limit of disposed gas emission, standard of disturbance level, tolerable limit of noisiness and Air Pollutant Standard Index. The quality standards are reviewed by the Government every five years. Every person, business or agency whose activity releases emission is obliged to apply for an emission disposal licence. Regional governments shall foster and supervise business activities which may cause air pollution. The remaining part of the Regulation contains penal provisions and provisions of miscellaneous nature. Full text English
