The Regional Regulation concerns: land space; sea space; air space; spatial plan; sea; protected area; rural area; management of natural resources; urban area; the territorial and sea subdivision covered by the Plan. According to the Regulation, the Spatial Plan includes Policies based on sustainable utilisation of the space and concerns: development and economic growth of strategic areas; development and strengthening of the production system based on environmental sustainability; development of urban areas based on disaster mitigation; improvement of costal areas management; increasing the quality of infrastructure network services, including energy and water resources and preventing silting of lakes and reservoirs to maintain water capacity; preservation of protected areas and conservation of existing ecosystem, through control of potentially disturbing cultivation activities, rehabilitation of critical lands and soil; development of natural resources production centres, taking into account biodiversity; development of natural resources processing industrial zones supported by integrated industrial waste management; development of a network of water resources infrastructure to increase agricultural services.
